Bixby

Bixby

Bixby is a flourishing suburb of Tulsa, straddling Tulsa and Wagoner counties in northeastern Oklahoma. Often referred to as “The Garden Spot of Oklahoma,” it earned this nickname from its agrarian roots, especially its history of vibrant vegetable and sod farming—a legacy still celebrated today. From a modest farming community in the early 1900s, Bixby has transformed into one of the state’s fastest-growing cities, with its population rising from about 20,884 in 2010 to approximately 28,609 in 2020. With a council–manager form of government, excellent schools, scenic parks like Washington Irving Memorial Park & Arboretum, and historic small-town charm blended with modern growth, Bixby is a vibrant, family-friendly community with strong economic and cultural appeal.
